“BLUERAY” seems to come to life as a happy sea creature in this mixed-media artwork created by artist Kay Jackson. The underwater scene in shades of blue and sea-foam green is a painting attached to sanded corrugated tin with smoothed green-toned sea glass and sand. The wavy metal gives the impression of moving water. The piece has an unseen wooden support frame in back and is ready to hang.  This unique and stunning artwork is sure to catch the attention of everyone who walks in the room where it is displayed. Viewers may try to decide if “Blueray” is winking, smiling, or both!

Follow the Leader

HOT AIR BALLOONS are rising in this bright new watercolor by Kay Jackson.  The painting gives the feeling of standing in a big open field where the balloons have just lifted off on their way to a pre-determined destination.  That was the scene for the artist herself as she watched at Forest Park this past summer in St. Louis.  Her inspiration found its way to canvas in this beautifully matted and framed piece which is ready to hang and enjoy.

WELCOME to my new Website, “Artistry by Kay Jackson.” This new place on the Web is an updated and expanded version from the original Site called “Watercolors by Kay Jackson.” The main reason for the change in title is because my artwork has expanded beyond just watercolor paintings. Please browse the pages and enjoy the images of my new site, and let me know if I can be helpful in any way. — Blessings, K J
