Art Show Opening was Big Success

THE OPENING of the Saint Louis Watercolor Society’s 16th annual juried exhibition was a big success! Over 200 visitors came to view the work of 74 artists who produced 109 watercolor paintings.  Included in the show was “Beautiful Predator,” the painting of a lionfish by artist Kay Jackson of Bolivar, Missouri.

The exhibit continues through May 16 at the Creative Art Gallery located at 3232 Ivanhoe Avenue in St. Louis.  From May 22 to July 4, 2015 the exhibit will travel to the Jacoby Arts Center, 627 East Broadway in Alton, Illinois.

Jackson in St. Louis Juried Show

THE SAINT LOUIS Watercolor Society’s 16th annual juried exhibition will open Friday, April 17 with a reception from 6 to 8 pm at the Creative Art Galley located at 3232 Ivanhoe Avenue in St. Louis, MO.  Awards will be presented at 7 pm.  Viewing of the show will continue until May 16, 2015.

Kay Jackson will be one of the artists with a painting on display!  Her work is of a Pterois, commonly known as a lionfish.  It is titled “Beautiful Predator.”

Following the exhibit in St. Louis, the show has been invited to travel to the Jacoby Arts Center, 627 East Broadway, in Alton, IL from May 22 to July 4, 2015.
